Register - Program Rules

Recycling Fundraiser is the only program that pays for EVERY item - up to $350 per item - regardless of whether or not the item(s) work and regardless of whether or not the item(s) are on our price list. That is, you earn cash for every qualifying consumer electronics item and gold, silver or platinum jewelry item you collect including broken items and models not on our price list.

Prices on our Price List reflect working items only. Damaged items will be credited at a reduced rate. Please see below for details.

Working Laptop Computers

Working laptop computers are computers that power up (must include battery) and all of the following are intact & undamaged: RAM, floppy drive (if applicable), CD/DVD drive, all ports, screens, latches, and are not cracked, 'locked' or otherwise damaged.

Please pack laptops carefully - use bubble wrap. Do not use Styrofoam peanuts as these cause static electricity which will damage the computer and result in a reduced payment.

Non-working Laptops

Non-working laptop computers or those with excessive cosmetic damage will be credited at a reduced rate, i.e. 20% of the working laptop price. We do not buy laptops with recalled batteries.

Note:All laptop computers sent to Recycling Fundraiser have their hard drives immediately removed and destroyed. You may remove and keep your own hard drive.Recycling Fundraiser will still pay full working price for laptops that have had their hard drives removed prior to shipping to Recycling Fundraiser provided all of the other conditions listed above are met. Please keep the hard drive holder intact, i.e. 'caddy', enclosure.
